Chat and Play with Loose Parts and PCFC Site Tour

  • All events listed are free of charge for Educators/Staff working in Early Learning & Care programs in Peterborough City & County.
  • You must register to attend.
  • Important:  There will be limited spaces for in-person sessions.  If you are unable to attend, please let us know so that we can give the space to someone on the waiting list.
  • Registration opens Monday, August 15, 2022.

  • Whether you have no idea what loose parts are, or have explored them extensively, this is an opportunity to learn and share together about the ideas and concepts of using loose parts in our learning environments. We will also take a look at possible barriers that educators may come across when introducing loose parts into their environments.

    We will be outside in the newly designed outdoor play space at the Peterborough Child and Family Centre’s Antrim Street site. We will also have the opportunity to view their inside program space and see the Resource Lending Library.

    Time: 6:30-8:00 pm

    Geri-Lynn’s passion for the outdoors and creative expression sparked the start of The Rolling Art Studio, which quickly lead to work at Peterborough Child and Family Centres, which now offers Outdoor Programming, Curious Connections and Loose Parts.
