Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy supports children with physical disabilities who have movement problems. The physiotherapist reviews the child’s muscle tone, joint mobility, strength, balance, coordination and quality of movement. Services are available to children up to the age of 19.
Infants
Infants who are not identified as having physical disabilities but may be ‘at risk’ (i.e. born prematurely or had difficulties at birth) or have limited movement of their neck (torticollis) or a ‘flat head’ (plagiocephaly) are also seen by the physiotherapist.
If you are not sure if your child requires assistance in these areas, you may phone the Centre and speak to a Physiotherapist.
