Resource Consultation

Resource Consultants provide support to children aged 0-12 years with confirmed or possible delays in any area of development. To be eligible for this service children must be enrolled or enrolling in a licensed childcare program which includes licensed home childcare and licensed before and after school programs in Peterborough and Northumberland counties.

Resource Consultants work together as a team with your family and the early childhood educators to support your child in the childcare program: Resource Consultants provide activity suggestions to encourage children’s skill development; help families with the coordination of services for their child; and offer education and capacity building for early childhood educators.

Through the Resource Consultation Program, licensed childcare programs may apply for funding for enhanced educators for children that may require additional support.

The Resource Consultant programs are hosted by Point-In-Time for Haliburton County and Community Living Trent Highlands for the City of Kawartha Lakes.
