  • Notes & Nature Junior Outdoor Playgroup – Wednesday (July 15, 22, 29, Aug. 6), 10-11:30 am, Five Counties Children’s Centre (872 Dutton Rd.) in Peterborough
    • What: Join other children and caregivers in a fun morning of music and nature exploration. Enjoy music facilitated by Caroline Stillman, from Soundspeaks Music Therapy, followed by nature-based games and activities.
    • Who: For Five Counties clients ages 6 and younger receiving Therapeutic Recreation services. Families and siblings are welcome to join.
    • Cost: None (for Five Counties clients)

  • Active Kids LindsayActive Kids Lindsay – Thursdays (July 16, 30, Aug. 13, 27), Logie Park (325 Logie St.) in Lindsay
    • What: Join us and other families as we get our bodies moving by taking part in various games and activities, while walking along the paved trails at Logie Park. The program is flexible and adapted to meet participants’ interests, attentions and abilities. A Recreation Therapist and Physiotherapist will be there to offer support
    • Who: For Five Counties clients receiving Physiotherapy and Therapeutic Recreation services. Families and siblings are welcome to join.
    • Cost: None (for Five Counties clients)

  • Family Adventure Program Visit to the Peterborough Humane Society – Monday, July 20, 10:30 am to Noon, 1999 Technology Dr. in Peterborough
    • What: Discover animal fun by joining us on a tour of the Humane Society building. Learn about what they do, how to properly handle and care for animals, and enjoy a hands-on experience with kittens, bunnies and dogs..
    • Who: For Therapeutic Recreation clients (all ages). Families and siblings are welcome to join.
    • Cost: None (for Five Counties clients)

  • Book a date at your libraryFamily Adventure Group at the Peterborough Public Library – Thursday, July 23, 11:30 am-12:30 pm, 345 Aylmer St. N. in Peterborough
    • What: Book a date with us to explore your local library. Participants will enjoy a library tour, story time and other activities facilitated by library staff. Plus, get your own library card. A Recreation Therapist from Five Counties will be on site to offer support.
    • Who: For Five Counties clients age 7 and younger receiving Therapeutic Recreation services. Families and siblings are welcome to join.
    • Cost: None (for Five Counties clients)
