  • Lego Robotics in PeterboroughLego Robotics – Thursdays (May 7, 14, 21 and 28), 4:30-6 pm
    • What: Enjoy a ground-breaking Robotic Lego experience that involves problem-solving and hands-on, interactive building activities and lessons.
    • Who: For Five Counties clients age 7+ receiving Therapeutic Recreation services. Participants must be able to follow directions and take part in a structured, 1.5 hour group program.
    • Cost: None (for Five Counties clients)

  • Book a date at your library

    Family Adventure Group at the Peterborough Public Library – Tuesday, May 5, 11:30 am-12:30 pm, 345 Aylmer St. N. in Peterborough

    • What: Book a date with us to explore your local library. Participants will enjoy a library tour, story time and other activities facilitated by library staff. Plus, get your own library card. A Recreation Therapist from Five Counties will be on site to offer support.
    • Who: For Five Counties clients age 6 and younger receiving Therapeutic Recreation services. Families and siblings are welcome to join.
    • Cost: None (for Five Counties clients)

    • What: Book a date with us to explore your local library. Participants will enjoy a library tour, story time and other activities facilitated by library staff. A Recreation Therapist from Five Counties will be on site to offer support.
    • Who: For Five Counties clients age 7 and younger receiving Therapeutic Recreation services. Families and siblings are welcome to join.

  • All-Abilities soccer program in LindsayKawartha Lakes Soccer Club All-Abilities Program – Mondays  (June 1-July 20), 6-6:45 pm, 8-week session, Wilson Field 2 in Lindsay  
  • Northumberland Juniors Challenger BaseballNorthumberland Juniors Challenger Baseball – Sundays (June 28-Aug. 23), 11 am, Coverdale Park (20 Coverdale Ave.) in Cobourg
    • What: Join this inclusive baseball program for individuals with exceptionalities. Program includes baseball drills & skill development, sensory outlet activities and end-of-season tournament. Each weekly session runs 1.5-2 hours
    • Who: For Kids ages 4-18+; all abilities welcome; supportive & inclusive environment
    • Cost: No cost

  • Electric City Lightening PtboElectric City Lightening:  Wheelchair Basketball – Begins in May – Peterborough
    • What: An inclusive, adaptive program for individuals of all physical abilities & exceptionalities to come together and enjoy the game of basketball. In partnership with Wheelchair Quinte Basketball, we are running a try-it program to gauge interest for recreational & competitive programs that will launch in September 2026. A limited number of shared chairs are available or individuals are welcome to bring their own.
    • Who: For individuals age 6+, right up to adult (all abilities are included)
