“The Team is committed to the goal of improving quality of life and full inclusion of children with all levels of function from preschool to transition to adulthood,” CARF Surveyor.
We are very pleased to share that Five Counties Children’s Centre received its Three Year Accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities Canada (CARF) based on internationally accepted standards. This is the highest standard an organization can achieve.
An organization receiving CARF accreditation undergoes a detailed review process. In March 2021 we invited the surveyors from CARF International’s* CARF Canada to evaluate how well we meet international standards for quality. The accreditation process usually takes place during on-site visits to our Centre, but with Covid-19 protocols in place, this year’s process was conducted virtually. Interviews were held with Five Counties stakeholders including board members, staff, families and community partners.
Achieving this accreditation demonstrates Five Counties’ commitment to exceptional, personalized care and providing programs and services of the highest quality that centre on enhancing the lives of persons served.
