Dr. Chris Montgomery – Consultant Pediatrician

Five Counties Children’s Centre is pleased to welcome Dr. Chris Montgomery to our community. Dr. Montgomery is an experienced, well-respected Consultant Pediatrician who has been in independent practice since 1997. Dr. Montgomery sees infants, children and adolescents for a wide variety of medical problems by physician referral only.

At the end of 2025, Dr. Montgomery closed his long-time Oshawa-based practice to relocate it to Cobourg. As of January 2026, Dr. Montgomery’s practice is now based at Five Counties Children’s Centre (800 Division St., Unit 2) in Cobourg, where it operates independently of the Centre.

Dr. Montgomery is no stranger to the Northumberland community. Since Spring 2024, Dr. Montgomery has been working one day a month at Five Counties in Cobourg to see our clients and families, while supporting our ASD Diagnostic Clinic.

Five Counties is thrilled to welcome Dr. Montgomery on a more permanent basis, with the relocation of his pediatric practice to Cobourg. Dr. Montgomery will see patients four days a week in Cobourg – both those families he supports through his independent practice as well as Five Counties clients and families. Joining Dr. Montgomery in Cobourg will be his long-time office secretary, Bernadette.

About Dr. Montgomery:

• He completed Medical School at McGill University in Montreal
• He did his pediatrics training at McMaster University in Hamilton
• He has been in independent practice as a Consultant Pediatrician since 1997.
• In 2000, he opened a pediatric practice at the North Oshawa Medical Centre, before relocating it to Cobourg at the start of 2026.
