AccountabilityFive Counties Children’s Centre is a publicly-funded, not-for-profit organization. As a Centre, we believe in being transparent and accountable in our operations to our funders, clients, families, staff, supporters and communities.

Below are links to key information and documents pertaining to the work of Five Counties. These are also publicly available so as to comply with requirements in Ontario’s Broader Public Sector Accountability Act.

CARF accreditationIn November 2024, Five Counties Children’s Centre received another Three-Year Accreditation Award from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). This is the highest standard an organization can achieve. The latest accreditation is valid through June 30, 2027.

Financial audit As a recipient of provincial funding, Five Counties is committed to full financial transparency.

Below are links to our audited financial statements for the last three years. The Centre’s fiscal year runs from April 1 to March 31.

Board of Directors 2025/26Five Counties Children’s Centre is governed by an independent and volunteer Board of Directors.

As a board, members act collectively in the best interests of the Centre. The Centre’s CEO and Leadership Team report to the board, which is responsible for developing, approving and overseeing all aspects of Five Counties operations, directions and purpose. Board members also approve the Centre’s budget, and are accountable to its main funder — the Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services — to ensure Five Counties is meeting its goals, objectives and mandates.  In addition, members of the Five Counties board act as ambassadors for the Centre and volunteer at events and fundraisers.
