The Ministry of Education wants to hear from you!

It has been five years since the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA) came into effect on August 31, 2015. It was designed to strengthen compliance, health and safety in child care settings across the province. As part of the Act, the Ministry of Education is required to conduct a review of the legislation within five years of it coming into effect.

The Ministry of Education wants to hear about how the early years and child care system is meeting the needs and expectations of parents, guardians and child care stakeholders.

The survey can be accessed at https://www.ontario.ca/page/consultation-strengthening-early-years-and-child-care-ontario

The survey results will help to improve the system to better meet the needs of families and child care providers. Parents and professionals can tell the ministry about their experience with:

  • the current child care and early years system, including its strengths and opportunities for improvement
  • before-school, after-school and other children’s recreation programs
  • quality of child care and early years programs and the inclusion of all children, including those with special and/or medical needs

Please share your feedback by participating in this survey by July 21, 2020
