Therapeutic Recreation

Therapeutic Recreation promotes and supports the participation of children with disabilities in recreational activities.  This service assists children with developing leisure skills and knowledge, loans out adapted recreation equipment and works closely with community recreation and physical education providers to include children with special needs.  Services are available to Centre clients

Snowman Building Challenge

Help us celebrate Therapeutic Recreation Awareness month by getting outside to play, have fun and be silly!  Playing keep us all healthy 😊                                                                       

 Our Challenge to you! 

  1. Build a Snowman ☃ – any kind; small, big, decorated, marshmallows, paper, playdough, clay pots …
  2. Take a picture of your snowman and send with a completed media consent form to Colleen ( by Friday March 5th.

Photos of all these great snowmen will be shared on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages for everyone to enjoy 😊 PLUS your snowman will be entered in a draw to be randomly selected for a “winter prize”

Yoga and Mindfulness

For Five Counties Therapeutic Recreation & Physiotherapy clients ages 7-11.

Join us to explore basic yoga poses, breathing exercises & games. Increase confidence, feeling of belonging, physical stretches & healthy movement.

Five Counties Family Fun Nights

Family Fun nights run once a month and are an opportunity for kids and parents to connect and have fun together as a family. Join the fun with your child and build relationships with our community and other families. Community events do have a fee/cost per family.snowman
